Add the .adm file that you downloaded in step 2 to your domain controller:Outlook 2013 = Outlk15.admxOutlook 2010 = Outlk14.admOutlook 2007 = Outlk12.admOutlook 2003 = Outlk11.admNote The steps to add the .adm or .admx files to a domain controller vary, depending on the version of Windows that you are running. Also, because you may be applying the policy to an organizational unit (OU) and not to the whole domain, the steps may vary in this aspect of applying a policy. Therefore, check your Windows documentation for more information.

from a command prompt. Displaying the policy settings that are in effect is the essence of logging mode. To run RSoP in planning mode without using GPMC, open MMC on a Windows 2003 server and add the RSoP snap-in to the console. You can then step through what-if scenarios to your heart's content.
The fix for this issue is to point your GPMC management tool to your local DC as shown in Figure 1. Simply right-click your Domain name and select Change Domain Controller from the Context menu; select your DC. This way the DC closest to you will be updated with the group policies setting you are trying to roll out. This enables the local Clients that read the shared SYSVOL folder on your local DC to get the updated policy first. This DC will update the PDC, and the PDC will update the other DCs.
I will assume all networking is functioning as it should and DNS name resolution is behaving properly. That said, if your computer won't refresh the group policy not matter what you do, it could be that the client thinks it downloaded it already. Refer to Figure 2 to see the version number for the GPO in question. The idea here is to increment the version number in order to force the client to reread the group policy. Edit the particular GPO you are trying to deploy to clients and make an insignificant change; any change will work as long as you enable or disable something that won't have a negative impact to your organization. One caveat: get the GPMC to increment and show the new version number as it will not do so automatically. You have to close the GPMC and open it again to refresh the Details tab of the GPO. Your version number for the User Version or Computer Version will increment appropriately. And by the way, this number needs to be consistent across all your DCs.
Before the GPMC was launched and we only had the old style group policy management tool, this un-linking would display a message saying something to the effect of: "Are you sure you want to do this? Your GPO will be reversed back to the default."
DON'T! Perform Cross-Domain and Cross-Site GPO Linking One of the biggest mistakes group policy admins can make is to have users and computers mistakenly download and process a GPO stored in another domain. This can happen in multiple ways. The three most common are:

Does the Group Policy Management console need to be installed on a delivery controller for managing the Citrix policies in Active Directory? In Active directory using GPMC, I picked the user portion of Citrix Policies and wanted to apply a Citrix policy to a delivery group using the Delivery Group filtering. When I attempted to do that, I typed in the name of the DDC and it prompted me for Citrix Cloud credentials. After getting passed that, I got a drop-down box to see the names of the Delivery Groups. Nothing is listed and I cannot manually type it in. Is what I am attempting to perform a supported operation? 2ff7e9595c
